Join us on our journey to empower over a million people to change their behaviours and thrive!
At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier!
We’re looking for a Healthy Lifestyle Engagement Officer to join our One You Lincolnshire service. Since July 2019, One You Lincolnshire has offered adults support in Weight Management, Smoking Cessation, Alcohol Reduction, Physical Activity and Health Coaching.
The main aspect of this role, however, involves working on a new programme called gloji Energy that is responsible for supporting children and their families to lead healthy lifestyles. The innovative project will provide eligible Lincolnshire families a fun and engaging programme, that encourages them to eat healthier, increase their physical activity levels, sleep better and improve their wellbeing. This holistic programme combines both one to one appointments and weekly group sessions for children aged 4 to 12 years, and their families.
Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.
A typical day as a Healthy Lifestyle Engagement Officer might include:
About you...
More than anything, we are looking for a team player who puts their heart in to their work. We’ve got some core values that run through everything we do, and we’d love it if they resonate with you too!
Be the change
Being the person, who supports building self-esteem in others, enabling them to feel confident to engage with programmes that allow them to thrive.
Be effective
You’re patient and can adapt under pressure. You have the ability to provide an excellent experience to the families and schools, by combining health improvement knowledge with first class communication.
Be happy
You recognise the power of a smile. Flair and personality are key to motivate people to achieve their health-related aspirations. You value a fun, supportive workplace and want to come to work raring to go (check out our rating on Glassdoor).
Be successful
You are motivated and driven. Happy working solo or as part of a team, you love meeting targets and will be given opportunities to contribute and develop your career.
Be big-hearted
You want to make a difference. Working with a like-minded team of optimistic and empathetic people, we want the same thing, to do meaningful work and change lives.
To work with us in this role you will need to have excellent communication skills and be organised with good time management. Experience of working with children or within a school environment would be advantageous. A general understanding of healthy lifestyles would also be beneficial.
We’d also be looking for someone who has a willingness to adapt to contract need and innovate as required. However, we hire based on attitude over traditional skills and experience so if you feel you are right for the job, we would love to hear from you!
